Reigning champion Joanna Cebrat will defend her title as the VTTA National 12-Hour Championships are held in Shropshire on Sunday.
Riding for 360cycling, the 47-year-old covered 255.30 miles in last year’s title race in Wales, taking the title with an age adjusted time of 285.80 miles.
But she will have stiff competition for the win this time with Naomi de Pennington (Drag2zero, pictured) aiming to add the 12-hour title to the 100-mile crown she secured earlier this season.
In the open event there will be a new champion with 2025 winner Anthony Jones not riding, while Mick Stevens (Melton Olympic CC) one of many talented veterans in the field.
The event is being staged by Alan Broadbent and the team at West Cheshire TTCA, and uses the D12/3 course. The headquarters are at Ellerdine Village Hall, while the course takes riders on roads through Stoke upon Tern, up to Prees, and down to the Battlefield turn west of Shawbury.
A report from this event will be published shortly afterwards on the VTTA website and Facebook.
