Midlands VTTA Bart Cup and William Rose Bowel winners
Midlands VTTA Race Report – K10/10 Aug 23rd 2026
A stellar performance from everyone who took part in last weekend’s K10/10 time trial, hosted by our friends at Leamington C & AC. Conditions were excellent for the battle for the final two event?specific Midlands trophies, with light winds and mild temperatures for an early Sunday morning start.
Twelve Midlands VTTA members made it to the start line. Special mention goes to Joe Murray, who suffered a puncture in his warm?up and had to make a long walk back to HQ before a last?minute dash to reach his start time — impressive commitment.
Open Event
In the Open event, Mike Lythgoe (Legato RT) once again came out on top, taking a 36?second lead on AAT over his nearest rival, Joe Murray (Team M.I. Racing Townsend Vehicle Hire).

Women’s Competition
The women’s competition was much closer. Susan Semple (Legato RT) claimed first place on AAT, finishing 14 seconds ahead of Penny Wilkin (Coventry Triathletes).

Both trophies will be presented at the Midlands Awards Presentation, taking place on 3 April 2027 at the HQ after the Welland Trophy event.
