PREVIEW: VTTA Southern Closed Circuit Championship

Have you ever been mugged?
There’s chance to experience that particular thrill at the VTTA Southern Closed Circuit Championships (South) on June 25 where the top three riders across the age groups will all receive a commemorative mug for their efforts.
The event is being organised by a3crg and uses the glorious Goodwood motor circuit in West Sussex, offering a traffic-free good quality surface for riders to chase their targets.
Prizes are up for grabs for all riders regardless of them being a VTTA member, although if you do win a mug your morning tea would taste a little sweeter if you were to join the VTTA and take advantage of the many benefits.
Categories include road bike and time trial machines as well as different five-year age bands.
Last year’s winner 72-year-old Chris Lord and Sarah Matthews (a3crg) return to defend their titles, but there will be dozens of others aiming to take the top step of the podium.
