ENTRY ALERT! National 50 is looming

ENTRY ALERT! Hot on the heels of the VTTA National 100, the National 50-Mile Championship is looming on the horizon, so make sure you get your entries in by the deadline of May 27.
The event on June 8 uses the G50/10 course near Steyning in West Sussex, and is being organised by Robin Johnson and the team of dedicated helpers at the Sussex CA as well as the VTTA Surrey/Sussex.
The entries are still coming in, but already lined up are new veteran Pat Wright (Paceline RT) who knows the roads around that area very well and has a personal best of 1hr 40min.
The course features 1,770-feet of climbing, with more than half of it in the second half of the event – so don’t go blazing off from the start and save something until the final hour!
Currently confirmed to be riding are last year’s open category runner-up Keith Dorling and women’s runner-up Emma Wyatt, with Deborah Moss not taking part this time and open champion Mark Sanders undecided.
