RECORD ALERT! Jen Clegg sets provisional new age record

Evergreen vet Jen Clegg (Team Bottrill Nopinz) set a provisional new age-related record at the VTTA East Midlands 10-mile event on Saturday.
The 72-year-old covered the distance in 24-38 and – pending ratification – adding to her existing records she set at age 69, 70 and 71.
The event took place on the A10/3 near East Bridgford in Nottinghamshire, with many riders taking full advantage of great conditions to clock fast times.
Fellow veteran Deb Hutson-Lumb (Legato Racing Team) clocked 21-51 to finish as fastest female overall, while World Champion Richard Oakes (Team Ohten) posted an impressive time of 18-43 to place second behind Ilkeston CC 22-year-old Joshua Giddings in 17-22.
