Competitive Cycling for Life ^
You can now renew your membership for 2026. This year you have the new option to pay by Direct Debit. This will save you having to remember to renew and the cost of the £1 administration fee on card transactions each year. The facility has been available since April and over thirty members have already taken advantage of it.
To renew, login at www.vtta.org.uk and click the big blue renew membership button in your profile. You are offered the option to automatically pay for membership and standards by Direct Debit during the renewal process. Please consider starting a D/D when you renew for the coming season. To do this you should tick the ‘Auto D/D’ box on the checkout screen for your membership fee.
You can also pay for standards awards by Direct Debit by ticking the Auto D/D box for that. If you want to decide each year whether you want to purchase standards awards then leave the box unchecked and pay for them by card. Whatever you choose, we hope you will purchase standards awards for 2026 and win medals for achieving your standards targets. These medals are proof you are improving or maintaining your performance levels as you get older and are a key part of the VTTA experience.
If you have opted for D/D, the “Continue to Payment” button will take you to a screen where you can enter your bank account details. The Stripe system will then set up the direct debit to pay into your Group bank account. Your Group Treasurer will know you have paid by direct debit.
If you have not opted to pay by D/D, then the “Continue to Payment” button takes you to a screen to pay by card as usual.
If you have opted for a mix of D/D and not D/D, then the “Continue to Payment” button takes you to the D/D screen and then the Card screen.
The timeline after you have set up the direct debit is:
Day 2: You receive an email titled “Confirming setup of Direct Debit Instruction”
Day 6: You get another email, “Direct Debit initiated for Stripe,” confirming the amount and the date the payment will be taken.
Day 8: The payment is taken from your account.
In the future your payments are automatically taken on 1st January each year. There is no need to remember to renew and no chance of accidentally lapsing your membership. At the same time, you’re protected by all the usual guarantees of the direct debit scheme.
All in all, it’s a simple process. Please consider switching to direct debit when you renew.
Thank you
