Competitive Cycling for Life
Mid June already — the perfect moment for another Midlands VTTA Points Series update, and what a season it’s shaping up to be. We’ve had nine counting events on the calendar so far, with only two cancellations and just one event without a Midlands VTTA rider on the start sheet. The competition remains wide open.
Only three riders have completed three events so far, while another twenty?eight have logged one or two rides — which means the whole leaderboard is poised to shift dramatically over the coming weeks. With your best six events counting, one bonus point for every K?course event you ride, and 14 events still to come, there are a possible 374 points still available. Plenty of opportunity for big moves.
Right now, the early pace is being set by 1st – Mike Lythgoe (Legato RT) 2nd – Peter Mulligan (Droitwich CC) 3rd – Mark Wise (Team MI Racing Townsend Vehicle Hire)
…but with so many points still on the table, the door is wide open for anyone to mount a challenge. A couple of strong weekends could completely rewrite the standings.
The second half of the season is where momentum builds — so keep riding, keep scoring, and let’s see who can make a charge for the top.
Best of luck to you all
