Technical - I’d like to thank my timekeepers Tom Bailey at the start Norman ‘Storming’ Portess, and recorder Matt at the finish ably assisted Bill Stanley & David Heard at the HQ with the results
Marshals – Andy Eagers and James Perkins pushing off at the start. Mick Wills, Graham Greene, Kathy & Geoff Platts at the turn Alan Parkinson and Trevor Adams at the finish ...we just about had enough people on the day THANK YOU!
On the day - Conditions were pretty amazing, light SW wind as in the Melton Olympic two weeks before, Winner Richard Oakes went three seconds faster but many course and even lifetime PB‘s on the day.
And so, to the results, there were no prizes but – Well done to Richard Oakes Team Ohten Aveas fastest on time and AAT to Jack Levick Rose Racing the former and to teammate Mike Twelves in the latter East Midlands treasurer Kathryn Smith of the Sleaford Wheelers running out fastest woman on AAT from Lindsay Clarke Fenland Clarion CC. Alison Winship-MacKay Team Ohten Aveas fastest woman on time …o7ò

Kath Smith found a book ‘Ragged Staff’ she had been looking for over 50 years since she read it as a teenager so its not just modern books on display. There are rare, valuable and signed copies of cycling editions to be had so see me at the other events …o7ò
