The cancellation of these events will scupper many an Age Record attempt and have an impact on the various BARs.

i've just received this e-mail as I had recently entered all the evening E2/10 events.

Hi all,

As you may have seen on the Forum this event, and a number of others on the E2, is cancelled. Please see message from John Golder below:

We have been informed by Cambridgeshire police of some road works which will be ongoing in the Brampton area on the A1. Whilst this is some way from our E2 course, they have expressed major concerns regarding rerouting of traffic on the alternate strategic routes including the A14 and A11. It is vital that the CTT take full consideration of rider safety, longevity of our sport, including maintaining one of the fastest courses in the country and retain strong relationships with the police.

Our conversations have been productive and our police liaison is supportive of our district, in part due to our relationship that has built over the years, but also due to the professionalism of our events in our area.

The result, however, is that we have no choice but to advise that the following events will need to be cancelled.

  • Wed 6th June East Anglian VTTA 10 E2/10 (A11)
  • Sun 10th June ECCA 100 E2/100c (A11 & A14)
  • Wed 13th June East Anglian VTTA 10 E2/10 (A11)
  • Wed 20th June East Anglian VTTA 10 E2/10 (A11)
  • Wed 27th June East Anglian VTTA 10 E2/10 (A11)
  • Sun 1st July East Anglian VTTA 50 E2/50c (A11 & A14)

We will be writing to the National Secretary to add a note to the CTT website to advise potential entrants.

I will process refunds in the next few days
